New Hampshire Incentives and Laws

Last Updated September 2008

The New Hampshire legislature meets annually from early January to the end of June. During the session, the governor must sign or veto legislation within five days after transmittal (except Sundays and holidays) or it becomes law without signature. If transmittal occurs after adjournment and the legislation is not acted upon within five days (except Sundays and holidays), legislation is pocket vetoed.

New Hampshire is the home of the Granite State Clean Cities Coalition (www.granitestatecleancities.org). Coordinator contact information is listed in the Points of Contact section.
